Meet Austin!!!
“Austin’s journey started on January 29th 2018. He was diagnosed with high risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL). Rewind about a month before being diagnosed. Austin was complaining of leg pain. After a month his jaw started hurting, so we made a doctors appointment. By 6:30 that evening I received a phone call from the doctor telling me to get a bag packed for Austin and I and to get to children’s as soon as possible, go right to ER and they will have a room for you. We arrived within the hour and our lives forever changed. We spent 2 1/2 weeks receiving chemo and then returned home with a home care nurse. Austin had only one major hospital stay. In September 2018 Austin had two infections and became septic and neutropenic. It was a very scary time.”
As of March 2019, Austin is now in a maintenance phase. He is back in school playing basketball working and driving. Austin has a cured date of June 2021, which is also his graduation.”
Destination Dino Liam will be sending Austin and his family for a much deserved getaway to Wisconsin Dells!! We cant wait for you all to get some time to enjoy yourselves!
